Project Overview
Floor Seal’s latest custom polished concrete design can be seen at Facebook’s (Meta) Burlingame Point project.
Our team collaborated with WRNS Studio in San Francisco, on specifying a combination of FloorSeal’s decorative floor systems, including TekFlor, TekCrete and MirrorCrete polished concrete.
1st floor areas received a custom designed TekCrete floor, which transforms ready-mix concrete into a decorative floor system. The design challenge was to produce cast-in-place concrete that would be light enough to highlight the desired patina concrete coloring stain throughout all four buildings.
Working directly with Rudolph and Sletten, and Dolan Concrete, Floor Seal’s team provided on-site oversight of the cast-in-place concrete to minimize cracking, finishing requirements, 3D laser monitoring to achieve ideal floor flatness tolerances, and final curing of the concrete slab using MirrorCure.
Upper floors incorporated our TekFlor, a terrazzo cement system to create the beautiful elevator lobbies to withstand the heavy foot traffic of staff and daily visitors. Our team also surface staining of the concrete access floors to complete 100,000 square feet of floor space.
